| Description | When a branding iron was made or repaired at the Krouse Machine Shop in Pomeroy, WA, the imprint of the iron was tested on the wooden walls of the shop. After the business built a new concrete block building in 1946, the branded boards were saved and cut into 184 blocks for display in the new office. Delbert Neibel, Pomeroy, WA, spent many hours searching his collection of Washington State livestock brand books to identify each brand's registered owner. |
